My Ideal Destination: My ideal travel destination is one that encompasses outdoor adrenaline rushes, cross-cultural exchanges, and initiates "the moment;" when you stop to analyze the audacity of thinking that YOU could get all the way over HERE, and you're filled with the disbelief of being in an amazing place. Of course, skiing, skydiving, and swimming around with sharks is going to be mind-blowing wherever you go in the world. But what makes a place an IDEAL DESTINATION is the cultural differences that you're able to recognize and learn from; those cool differences that make skiing (or mundane activities like laundry) a learning experience. Then, one fine day, if your life situation prevents you from flying around the world, you can be transported mentally back to that time you helped wash laundry with Indian housewives, and you'll employ that secret something they only reveal to the true travelers. (I can't tell.)
