My Ideal Destination: The location all depends on what I’m looking for at the time. For example, I was seeking a physical and mental challenge when I signed up to live and teach for a year in the Marshall Islands. If I’m looking to relax while I’m here, my ideal travel destination is hands-down an unspoiled outer island where I can immerse myself in local culture and feel like I’m in another world. While I love cities, I’m a fan of places that offer outdoor physical activities, whether it be sailing a traditional Marshallese outrigger canoe, biking the hills of Denmark, or hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. After a day of exploring, I’d wind down the evening by fulfilling my street food craving and cooling down with a nice cold beverage, while hopefully meeting some locals with recommendations of where to go the next day! Living on this tiny atoll has made me realize there are still so many amazing places to see in the world, so my ideal travel destination is mainly anywhere I haven’t been yet!
